LAST FAMILY VACATION. Karla, Jenny, and Gerry Wheeler enjoy a trip to Niagara Falls in what was to be their last family vacation together. Soon after their return home, Gerry was diagnosed with advanced cancer and died 47 days later.
KARLA WHEELER and JENNY WHEELER travel nationwide speaking to groups of bereaved families. This inspirational mother-daughter team brings hope and comfort through their theme of Being Open to Signs of Continued Love. Karla has been an expert in grief and end-of-life care for 15 years, has authored several grief support books, and is the founder and president of Quality of Life Publishing. Jenny is writing her own teen-to-teen book entitled, Weird Is Normal When Teenagers Grieve. As of June 2008, Jenny will be available to speak to groups about the unique needs of a grieving teenager. Bring Karla to your organization to speak about the following: • GRIEF SUPPORT. Being Open to Signs of Continued Love (presented with 15-year-old Jenny) • CAREGIVING. Please Be Gentle With Yourself • VOLUNTEERING. Eight Reasons Why I Am Hooked on Hospice® • ADVANCE DIRECTIVES. How a Living Will Saved our Heartbroken Family • HEARTFELT HOSPICE AFFIRMATIONS.
